Cause analysis of coal mine accidents in China based on principal component analysis

Abstract: In order to explore the correlation between various types of coal mine accidents in China, and based on the accident data of Henan Province from 2009 to 2023 from the National Coal Mine Safety Administration and the Coal mine Safety Network, the principal component analysis method in SPSS26.0 statistical software was used to carry out a statistical analysis of the main types of coal mine death accidents in the past 15 years. The two main components of coal mine accidents are calculated, and then the main roof and gas accidents are analyzed and identified, and the correlation between the types of accidents is determined, which provides guidance for the development of corresponding coal mine accident prevention measures in the future. Assessment of Flood Resilience in the Zhengzhou Metropolitan Area in 2022 Based on Principal Component Analysis

Abstract: Floods are characterized by their suddenness, destructive power, and unpredictability, posing serious threats to human society and the natural environment. Building resilience provides a new approach for urban systems to cope with floods. This study constructs a flood resilience index system and uses principal component analysis to comprehensively evaluate the basic resistance, disaster prevention and early warning, emergency response, and adaptive recovery capabilities of the Zhengzhou metropolitan area, thereby determining the resilience level of each city within the Zhengzhou metropolitan area. Simultaneously, the natural discontinuity method is used to compare the spatial differences in flood resilience among different cities. The results show that in 2022, the ranking of the comprehensive flood resilience scores of cities in the Zhengzhou metropolitan area was as follows: Zhengzhou > Pingdingshan > Xuchang > Xinxiang > Luohe > Luoyang > Jiyuan > Kaifeng > Jiaozuo, with Zhengzhou achieving the highest comprehensive flood resilience score. The 2022 flood resilience levels in the Zhengzhou metropolitan area show that 5 cities were at a low resilience level, 3 cities at a medium resilience level, and Zhengzhou at a high resilience level, exhibiting strong spatial differences and generally showing a pattern of high resilience in the middle and low resilience from east to west. The research findings can provide a basis for formulating policies to enhance the resilience of the Zhengzhou metropolitan area to flood disasters. Read More

Measurement of cultivated land change and analysis of its spatial characteristics in Luoyang City

Abstract: Cultivated land is a crucial foundation for agricultural production and an important pillar for the development of human society. To better coordinate the relationship between economic development and cultivated land protection in the context of urbanization, and to pursue a path of mutual promotion between economic growth and cultivated land conservation, this study takes Luoyang City as the research area. Using data related to cultivated land resources and socio-economic statistics, it analyzes the impact of the new urbanization process on the quantity and spatial distribution of cultivated land resources in Luoyang City from 2005 to 2020. The results show that: (1) The single dynamic degree of cultivated land use was -0.25% in Luoyang City from 2005 to 2020, indicating a declining trend in cultivated land quantity with a relatively slow rate of change. Only during 2005–2010 did cultivated land show an increasing trend, and the dynamic degree of cultivated land area was the highest during this period, representing the fastest change in cultivated land area. (2) Changes in cultivated land resources varied across counties and districts in Luoyang City. The relative change rate of cultivated land in all counties and districts from 2005 to 2020 was greater than 1, indicating that the rate of cultivated land change in each region was faster than that of Luoyang City as a whole. (3) The spatiotemporal change in cultivated land area in Luoyang City exhibited a continuous decreasing trend. From 2005 to 2015, the ANN value was close to 0, indicating that the spatial distribution of cultivated land in Luoyang City was closer to a clustered distribution. From 2015 to 2020, the ANN value was closer to 1, indicating that the spatial distribution of cultivated land during this period was more random compared to the previous three years. This study provides a scientific basis for coordinating the dynamic balance between urban construction and cultivated land protection, and for … Read More

Digital Twin–driven construction of low-carbon communities in traditional villages:The Case Study Of Yuxiao Village At East Qing Tombs

Abstract: Old villages are facing the problem of disassembled broken information, and it is hard to make much numerical help convert to reduce less carbon dioxide. The update with digital twins (DT) will be offered Taking Yuxiao village which belongs to the Northern area of East Qing tombs as an example we construct Meso – spatial pattern and Micro – building performance evaluation system. By using the space syntax method, we conduct the spatial analysis on the yuxiaovillage and carry out simulation study about dynamic energy consumption through DeST-H software. According to the result, by using meso-scale ventilation structure improvement and also improve micro-level envelope performance at the same time so that we can save up from 35 - 40% operational building energy use. This is a road that can prove the scientific correctness and usefulness of Digital Twin helping rural area make low-carbon decision-making. Read More

Research on Three-Dimensional Analysis and Systematic Optimization of Urban Peacetime-Emergency Dual-Use Public Infrastructure

Abstract: To address the theoretical and practical challenges of 'dual-use for normal and emergency situations' public infrastructure from concept to implementation, this study is based on the reality of the regularized urban risks in China. Using an integrated 'structure–process–function' analytical framework, it systematically reviews the development trajectory of dual-use facilities from the germination of ideas, the establishment of concepts, to systematic promotion, and comprehensively diagnoses their construction status and core issues across the three dimensions of structure, process, and function, using multi-source data and cases. By analyzing innovative practices at home and abroad to extract experiential insights, the study proposes a system optimization path aimed at high-quality development, covering key aspects such as institutional foundations, transformation mechanisms, resilience efficiency, and sustainable operation, with the aim of providing theoretical support and practical reference for promoting the high-quality development of dual-use public infrastructure beyond large-scale construction.
